The Celebration

Honoring & Letting-go

The learnings of the previous phases can be brought into a new shape – the fruit – to be disseminated widely.

We often believe all life is moving towards the flower. Yet, we forget that the flower is only there to invite pro-creational encounters and then it is transformed into something else that can be widely shared: the Fruit.

The Fruit is also not the final aim, as it is created to serve the seed – disseminating it and nurturing it. Thus the Fruit phase is essentially a community practice, where the harvest is shared. This we so much enjoy in life and easily miss out on. And in doing so, falling out of our own embodied rhythms, remain burned out and depleted.

It is important to integrate this community practice back into our working fields our economy & social structures, to connect back with these essential rhythms of life for sustainable futures. Celebration is not an add-on, sometimes useful for marketing. Integrating celebration as ceremony which demands a correct timing and tactul momentum creates depth & meaning and restores harmony. It allows for a deep connection to be feld, hononred and experienced. This brings value, meaning and vital relationships into live. Ceremony demands space and time to be lifed and enacted through sharing, storytelling & celebration… through acknowledgement, nourishment & honoring… through ritual, singing, sounding, dancing & moving…

Celebration serves completion… honoring & letting-go

We need to let go of focus on the flower to see the fruit. And the tree needs to let go of the fruit for it to be disseminated and become a new tree…

Relationships, creations, and practices no longer in resonance with our inner voice, are transforming, loosening and soon, we have to let go. Yet, often parts of us are still connected with this past. This is why mourning is an integral part of this phase. The past has to be fully acknowledged and seen to complete the cycle.

Also what has been created wants to be honored & shared. This then opens a space for an in-depth felt celebration with a deeply experienced gratitude. Life itself is honored, connections celebrated. Our pure existence is felt as an accomplishment, our joint presence in conscious awareness & full presence a victory.

In the fruit phase we let go of our ownership of the form we have created and make space for others to use it, to move into it and advance it further. Fruit-time teaches honoring, pacing, timing, rhythm, community, the power of sharing—and the celebration of life.

In this phase, Somatic Alignment is community practice, celebration & ceremony, transcending completion.

Sitting around a bonfire, sharing insights from lived experiences, remembering, connecting & honoring the relationships with music, nourishment and laughter is one example of this.
Celebration through nourishment can also be expressed more ceremonially like in a cacao ceremony or a nourishment of words, through a “Conversation of Gifts” (Peter Block).
It can also be expressed more artistically as an interactive theatre performance, inviting the audience to complete the cycle and transform it.
Or it can be expressed through circle dances and circle music, sounding and moving together, rhythmically and jointly, until the stillness enters the field and connects back to the whole.

Celebrating here gives space to
complete a cycle of experience internally

This might be expressed joyfully with laughter or through grief and tears. Whatever is needed for the cycle to be completed is allowed to be freely expressed.

Thus, mourning is also welcome. Deep mourning, movement, shaking, weeping. And being grateful for the experience and the learnings which have come through.

Understood as a ceremony, it allows both joy and grief to be held, opening a space for the transcendence of time & space and celebrating life itself in community.

Whatever is needed for the cycle to be completed is allowed to be freely expressed

We empower ourselves to be ready to step into the unknown once again

Celebrating means honoring the fruits of our actions and share:

The learnings, the achievements, the relationships, and insights that have ripened through experience. We invite others to participate, and we share our learnings and creations knowing they do not belong to us alone.

These sharing then prepares us to let go of the past achievements and get ready to step into new, unknown realms, not knowing where the fruits will be brought to – carriying the seeds to new soils. We get ready to move on, taking along our insights, competencies & learnings, embedded in the relationships & networks we created…

The Fruit does not mark an end.

It prepares the next cycle —
with seeds that contains the memory of what has been.

Fruit phase is an important phase to connect with our inner timing and make sure cycles are completet, before we move on to the next. In Somatic Alignment we listen to our own pacing and timing, connecting with internal rhythms and the greater rhythms, such as the  circadian and monthly cycles and insert ceremony and celebrations into our practice to restore balance and harmony. Just as a fruit does…
